I had this biota yellow tang since December and ran into velvet issue recently he is in a qt with copper power, I added some other fishes to qt as well which probably gave him this internal parasite, I am assuming it is some internal worm or internal flagellate. I have asked the humble fish page didnt get much in return so thought I try here.

someone suggested that he might have an injured spine but I dont see how that would've happened, he does eat but very little

what are you guys thoughts?

cant really swim well at the moment lays on its side a lot

Hello. My What foods are you feeding? What are the foods the tang feeds on? Portion size? Feeding regiment? Asking because I have finicky tangs.

Trying soaking his food in Garlic for a few minutes before you feed him. This will boost up his immune system since he’s still eating.
The flow might be too strong for him right now because he’s not well. I’d turn it down a bit so he can relax.

From my experience once the tang gets that skinny and stops eating that's kinda the point of no return. Best of luck.

Besides being a wreck, there's a ton of flow in there.

Few questions:
1. How long has he been in QT?
2. How fast did you raise the levels of copper and what is the current level?
3. Looks like the death spiral. How long has he been doing that?
