Hi! Long shot here! Anybody have a yellow tang for sale? Mine was bullied and was not able to save it. My little one is sad bubbles passed away. I was hoping to buy one but these new prices are a little out of my budget. A local person on CL was going to sell me his for 50bucks but when I showed up he raised the price to 125. Left disappointed.

TIA

unfortunately, 125 is probably a pretty good price now

i was at an lfs the other day and they were asking 150 for them

biota hasn't gotten the memo yet and still has theirs at 110, but free shipping at 150. i'd venture to guess they'll be raising that up quite a bit pretty soon

Bold statement.
No one can guarantee pest free useless there practicing QT treatment.
I’ll even go on record and say that I personally don’t trust anyone but my self to QT fish for me. Even if a shop practices safer methods I still don’t trust them. All it takes is one dirty net or droplet of contaminated water for a parasite to make it in to a qt after the fish to have gone through its copper phase to get that fish infected. This is why I also have a coral QT setup as well. Nothing going in my tank that hasn’t sat in QT. Fish qt for 2 months and corals and inverts for 2 weeks min

Yea but the problem is use average hobbies doesn’t have the the option to buy these fish straight from the aqua culturers. I don’t know how biota works but take ORA. Just to order from them you need to be a business and order a ridiculous amount of livestock. I’ll bet money that 90% of the shops that place these orders are not practicing habits on what’s best for the fish.

I don't recall the details of the captive breed in person, I didn't care too. I've heard many people say the coloration of yellow tangs captive breed are not as vibrant as wild. Color matters.

Color is based on how old they are as they mature, the color fills in.
