I've got a single colony that has pox really bad. Nitrate 0 amm/nitrite 0 ph 8.3 alk 10 calc 440 salinity .025
So i am thinking of spraying the afflicted colony with marine melafix. I am worried about everything else in the aquarium and i cannot remove the zoas..
so do you guys think the route im taking is a good idea? is it going to harm my other corals which are mostly sps.

Depending on where the rock is, (for a more concentrated impact) use an upside down tupperware to isolate the zoas, turn your flow off in the tank, and syringe the dose of peroxide under the tupperware. Google how much peroxide you are comfortable putting your tank, I think it would be hard to overdose, and see adverse effects.

Hopefully the tupperware fits snugly over the top of the colony, and you'll see bubbles start to cover the whole rock, let the bubbles do their thing for at least a minute (its common for people to give a 5 min. Peroxide 50/50 tank water dip.) last step, take a new (at least a half inch point) paint brush and gently wipe all the polyps

I'm no expert, this is just what has worked for me. Good luck with your spots.

I love the idea I am going to give the tupperware a shot but I am going to manually try to pop the pox I've heard of success with popping them like pimples
