Thanks to Mike for selecting me as the February So Cali Reefs Member of the Month. I hold this honor in high regard and am truly humbled by being chosen.

A little bit about me...................My name is Steve Blodgett, born, raised and currently reside in Whittier, California. I'm 42 years old, am married to the love of my life (my wife Kim) and have no kids. I attended 12 years of Catholic school and graduated from St. Paul High School (Go Swordsmen)!!! I enlisted in the military 6 months after graduating high school and after basic training and specialty school, I was deployed in Germany for two years. During these two years, I got to see most of Europe and a lot of the Mediterranean. I've been to England, France, Spain, Italy, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Turkey, Yugoslavia, and Greece. I also was allowed to go to Berlin, when getting to Berlin ment going through East Germany. I also got to see the Pope say mass at the Vatican, which being a Catholic, was one of the greatest events of my life. After serving my tour in Germany, I was stationed in Upstate New York, which blew. I can honestly say that after experiencing a few winters in Watertown, there is no place like Southern California. After being honorably discharged from the service, I took odd jobs until I found my niche. I am now employed as a Maintenance Director for a Property Management Company.

I always had freshwater tanks on and off since I was 18 years old. About 6 years ago, my sister-in-law's boyfriend showed me his saltwater tank and I was instantly hooked. I immediately switched my freshwater tank to a saltwater tank and the addiction was born. I started with a 29 gallon saltwater tank and have upgraded many times in the past 6 years. I currently have a 33 gallon Oceanic cube that is a species specific seahorse tank. I also have my 400 gallon coral propagation system in the garage, which may of you have seen. My wife calls my obsession with corals, my "sancha", but she prefers that I have this sancha instead of the other sancha. I am currently planning an upgrade to a 225 Leemar in the living room of the house. In April of 2007, I started "Fantasy Coral and Reef Supply." What started out as a simple group buy on frag mounts has grown into what Fantasy Coral is today. I specialize in lps corals and zoas, but will provide my customers with anything they want. I also still sell the same frag mounts that started this whole circus.

There's a lot of people I'd like to thank for helping me through this hobby and addiction, however I don't think Mike wants to buy a new server, so I'll try to keep this list short. First I'd like to thank my wife, Kim. She is my rock and I could never do any of this without her love and support. I'd like to thank all the great friends I've made in this hobby. Without them, I'd still be thinking brown zoas were the greatest thing known to man. I'd like to thank all my customers who have supported me through the years and have continued to come back again and again. I'd like to thank Mike for selecting me as MOTM. It truly is an honor. Last but not least, I'd like to thank all the members of SCR, especially my chat room buddies. You guys & gals put a smile on my face and make it easier to get through each day. -Steve
