See title. Just curious. Just got my ReefCleaners order, so I'm good for now, but the pitho crab died and would like another nassarius. Not worth the shipping, but group orders would make smaller invert purchases more tolerable, no?

I’m trying to get a pitho crab Aswell . Reef cleaners recommended it to eat bryopsis . Is that what you got it for ?

I got it for massive GHA. I took out bryopsis as soon as I saw ferns with Flucanozole (ReefFlux). Bit the GHA keeps coming back.

Check your floors - last time I ordered from reef cleaners, all the snails crawl out of the tank.

Ha! Yes, my nerites, limpets and dwarf ceriths went straight to the top, but I have a Kraken lid, so none have escaped yet.

I would also check for pyramid snails. I know of a couple other local's who've had issues with pyramids after ordering from Reef Cleaners.

So far my order has been OK, except for the pitho crab dying (perhaps nitrate spike--I measured afterwards and it was 20ppm from normal 5ppm), and my mermaids fan being limp--he refunded me those. Just found my red porcelain crab belly up this AM, but it was not out eating like the green and spotted crabs were. All snails working overtime, except the African Ceriths, whose job seems to be climb the glass and dive into the sand bed.

Need to get people within a couple of miles and able to pick up quickly for them to work. Too far away and you end up responsible for their order. Then they get upset at die off which happens every time. Every time.
As far as payment, some sites let you pay individually with one order number so you don’t pay up front for them or you need to collect payment first from slackers.

id hesitate to take them on their word. They are claiming most of these common snails eat diatoms and cyano, dont think that is factual.

I really did find it odd that they had something to eat bryopsis while most if not all others say there’s nothing out there that does. I just felt they are a trusted vendor. Thank you for the heads up .

Mine is the other way around the gha was gone instantly but I have to fluconazole about once every 6 moths for bryopsis. Fluconazole doesn’t bother anything just would like to eliminate doing it .

I in the ither hand just got a buttload of cuc but just need one or two more--not worth the shipping.

Could organize regional orders, e.g. south OC, north OC, LA, Riverside.

But perhaps the most sensible would be a type of frag swap/group order meetup. That way everyone meets at the same time/place and no dead/abandoned cuc.

Never seen it happen either. Chemiclean is the only product I’ve seen live up to it’s name and reputation.
My conch loves diatoms. Can watch it hoovering them up. Harder to tell with the other snails though. Haven't had cyano yet, so can't say much about that.
