Hi, I haven't been on for some years, and i was never good at using the forum. That said, I've been very active for a couple years now on a science forum with the same forum layout, so I'm kinda excited to jump in here and make some friends. I live in Orange, and I have a 7 Gallon Nano Invert Only tank, here's a photo.
Anyway, hope all have a great April and talk to you soon!

Nice! Welcome back! Nano invert tanks are great! Whatcha keeping in there?
I have about 6-7 little hermit crabs, 5-6 assorted snails, and then just some corals. The major challenge for me is i recently (a year ago) downsized from 14 gallons. It's a little be harder to grow corals in the 7 gal, even with a JBJ auto top off i got right away (out of necessity.. I didn't think ahead on the increase in top off duty).

Using a glass or acrylic lid with minimal ventilation or an exposed corner will actually help stabilize evaporation, then it's a matter of keeping temp stable. ATO, whether manual or automatic is a must thought, but you got that covered. For the first 30 years in the hobby, all I kept were nano tanks.

Someday (hopefully soon) when I move into a condo, I'm going to go for my dream setup which is simply a 10gal display and 10-20gal sump with a skimmer.
Same here with the nanos. I had a 24 gal for like 3 months when i first started, then 14 gal for 6-7 years, now I'm down to 7. And 7's a bit small for me without a sump and my minimalist involvement.
