Will you have a sand bed? I personally love wrasses and would have a number of sand sleepers, starting with one or two Halichoeres and a leopard, eventually moving up to Anampses like a yellow or red tail and a Choati leopard. Also a peaceful mix of fairies and flashers.

I would also get a rabbitfish like a foxface, as they have a good rep for decimating bubble algae.

Might consider a CBB if you've had trouble with Aiptasia in the past.

Good luck with the new tank!

Fairy and flasher wrasses are great fish for larger tanks. A lid is a must though. I think of fish who inhabit certain zones, so there are the sand bed or fish that stay towards the bottom of the tank, those that stay close to rock and those that are mid-water or open water fish. Seeing activity in those areas really makes a tank look alive and add constant movement.

A few more chromis so they can school together. Or some lyretail anthias, great pop of color.

Some worker fish also nice. I like yellow coris wrasse and springeri damsel for pest control like FW. I also like a mandarin goby for how cool it looks. Those are the fishes I have in my tank. I also have a royal gramma, and I think they have cool colors as well.

I would go with A group of Anthias instead if the cromis- adds some colors and they usually are mid water column, in a school and are less common then cromis.

For the cardinals- I would get 3 or more- they will also kind of school together - I think they are more enjoyable on a small group.

if you go for a rabbit fish like a fox face, I would get a magnificent if I got another. They are beautiful fish and also less common then a standard one or two spot.

on the sailfin, desjardinii sailfin I think is better looking. It may be a bit more to get but I think in the long run it’s less common and you will be happy with it.

here’s some utilitarian fish to consider-
6-line wrasse-
Springer damsel
Algae Benny
Tomini tang

once your tank is established with health pod population- a pair of fish I really enjoyed having was a pair of daggonette’s - every night as light went down they would swim together and then go into their hole together. Very entertaining.

another fish I would do is a yellow belly hippo tang- if your going to get a hippo, try to find the yellow belly- they are unique and less common.

These are a few fish I would consider if I was setting up a new tank.

Thanks appreciate it just don’t know if I have the time to feed the Anthias since I’m still in high school but overall I like how your thinking not only aesthetically and worker fish 2 actually had a 6 line and a lawnmower blenny but ended up loosing them to the earth quake a couple months ago

You can train the anthias to eat pellets. Install an automatic feeder that dispenses food 4 times a day.
