what’s going on reefers my name is Brayden and I’ve been in this hobby for over 14 years. I felt like it was time to finally post my tank on here as it’s in a place that I’m happy with. I took a break from the corals when I went off to college and everything died off but my OG snowflake clownfish that I got at ReefAPalooza. The clown’s name is Nemo and I’ve gone through 3 different black snowflakes trying to find her a mate. She’s finally settled with this one and his name is rock. They have a very abusive relationship but he’s grown big enough to hold his own with her in the tank. I started this hobby when I was 12 working at a local fish store in Orange County called P&P Tropical Fish. I’ve had all the tanks massive freshwater tanks, 65 gallon salt, 50 gal salt but I’ve settled with my little nano and I’m super happy with it.

it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done is to try keep this little tank balanced and happy. Feels like every day something needs to be tended too in a small tank.

When I decided to start this tank back up I knew I wanted to keep a mixed reef with a little bit of everything. I’ve realized in such a small tank you really gotta stay away from corals that are aggressive or they slowly just kill everything off. This goes for torches, chalices, or things can takeover quickly and outcompete other corals.

I recently got some SPS from some reefers on here and they seem to be thriving. They’re sucking up so much all for reef and I’ve been testing everyday to try to keep everything In check. Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll get everything dialed and these guys won’t die lol.

LIGHTS: AI prime
PUMP: AI NANO
DOSING: All for reef daily with ecotech versa pump

I’ll post more here as the frags continue to grow out and I have to deal with stuff outcompeting. Hyped to be here again.
I’m always at the coral shows, hopefully I’ll meet more of you there!

Doesn't matter if small or big tank, we're all just trying to keep things steady and alive. You got a good mix of corals that should thrive in a smaller tank. Some of most color tanks I've seen are zoa, rock flower or ricordea gardens in a nano.

Nice! What’s your filtration? I spot a nice chalice too working on bringing my grim reaper zoa back to life. Only “rare” one I have lol I have my 15 gallon nano. Been struggling with algae tho. Don’t see much in your tank! Very nice!

Just a little built in overflow box. I have 2 Mexican turbo snails that are constantly cleaning 24-7. You should snag a few they have worked wonders
