For those wondering if gigantea can survive tears in the foot the answer is yes. The above blue came in with multiple tears in foot and i accidentally ripped the small purples foot moving it from tank to tank. Both have healed up

Yeah they really raise the stress level when you first get them, but once established they are pretty hardy. Just have to get them past a month and they are usually solid. Imo it’s prob just luck of getting a good specimen more than anything; antibiotics or not.

The best color duo for gigs imo, great job with them

Important to note i cant attribute the losses to fwe, so its only speculation on my part. Ill take some photos of my small purple in its new tank when i get home. I have 4 healthy gigs ( 2 purple, 1 blue, and a tan) so i think i will consider myself lucky and stop with that…… unless i can find...

Yeah lesson learned, the blue gig showed no effect, in hindsight i lost a otherwise healthy purple haddoni that also crashed a few days after fwe. I will not using fwe again.

Unfortunately i lost my large purple one. Luckily the blue one was not affected by whatever took it down, it crashed after dosing flatworm exit. I moved the small purple one in its place

Talbots, azure, springers, yellowtail damsels would make nice fillers

Naw i have two more in qt, big green and purple, and besides was just at carson and it sold, i thought you were done with gigs ;)

didnt ask and no price listed, they just got it in though, they also have a huge red and pink haddonis in that they have had for a few months now

My favorite store, they had a blue gig as of yesterday if anyone interested
