    GOFOR'S 52" x 36" x 26" CDA Peninsula & SoCal Tank Room Build

UPDATES... WHERE DO I START??? The Good... > More corals have been added (I'll try to get some decent pictures soon). I have a nice little euphyllia garden going, some hammers in one spot, some torches in another, and I just recently started quarantining some different color variants of...

    GOFOR'S 52" x 36" x 26" CDA Peninsula & SoCal Tank Room Build

Happy to! The Aquamaxx Auto Fleece Roller works great! I have no complaints, although I have nothing to compare it to. But honestly, it is pretty basic technology, so I'm not sure why some other units are significantly more expensive. I'd recommend it for sure. A bigger update will come though.

    GOFOR'S 52" x 36" x 26" CDA Peninsula & SoCal Tank Room Build

Thanks for asking!!! Hahaha. An update is LOOOONG overdue, but I'll put something together very soon. In short, all is going pretty well, but there's always something right?

    WTB Reefwave 25

I have one. Used it for about a week but needed something less powerful in my Waterbox Cube 20. Located in Orange County (near Mission Viejo/Ladera Ranch). PM if interested. Thanks.

    High End Acros FS

I'm not too far from you (near Ladera Ranch)... I'd love to pick up a few pieces, but I'm out of town this weekend. Maybe if you still have some pieces I can stop by next week.

    Brs acquired Marine Depot

As long as they keep the CA warehouse, I'm happy. I honestly acquired most of my stuff from BRS in my latest build and have nothing but good things to say about them.

    Green torch with pink tips

No problem! But when it comes to the various "Gold" varieties, I'm lost :D

    Protein Skimmer Recommendations

I've been running a Regal Reef Oct 250-INT on my 210 gallon DT and love it! Has a built in float switch to turn off the skimmer if the skimmer pump ever gets too full and is extremely quiet.

    Green torch with pink tips

I believe that is a called a "Cotton Candy" torch... but I'm not an expert on the names.

    My 200 Gal Delight

I think it depends on if you are going to have a hood, or if it'll be open top. If open top, then I'm not sure I love the way the reefbrite X series fixture looks. But if a hood, then I'd totally go that direction. Just my 2 cents.

I'll get the Hellfire if that falls through.

    My 200 Gal Delight

Yup! Works like a champ and my skimmer still performs consistently well. Helps that it has a DC pump that allows you to fine tune it along with the gate valve to adjust the water level inside the skimmer.

    My 200 Gal Delight

Being that our tanks are very similar in size and set-up, I would recommend the Regal Octopus 250-INT. It has been rock solid in my tank and pulls out some nasty gunk even with the relatively light bio-load I have right now. You might be able to go the next step down, but I wouldn't go much...

    GOFOR'S 52" x 36" x 26" CDA Peninsula & SoCal Tank Room Build

Yeah, my rationale with 45+ days is that any fish-borne disease/parasites have generally completed their life cycle by then (or in the case of Ich or Velvet- they have already hatched and are in the water column rather than attached to the calcium base, so as long as you rinse them before...

    GOFOR'S 52" x 36" x 26" CDA Peninsula & SoCal Tank Room Build

This is what you can type into Amazon to get the same exact ones I have: "IMT Heavy Duty Dual Vacuum Suction Cup Glass Lifter with Curved Pads". They are rated for 330lbs. each, and I got 4 of them. Since I'm paranoid, I had four guys with one hand on the suction cup, and one hand holding the...
