I usually get my fish from either Tongs or Seaside Tropical Fish. There's not that many great places in South Orange County, so I trek a little up north to get most of my stuff.

Seriously! My wife just gave up keeping track of all of the things I was buying. And the fact that I was working from home during the planning process didn't help matters. There was literally a box of fish stuff showing up at the house weekly (at LEAST) for a few months.

Since, at the time I ordered them, we were all on lockdown due to COVID, I just looked up on Amazon to find the most highly rated ones that weren't crazy expensive. If you weren't in Pasadena, I would offer them up for you to borrow (unless you're ever down in Orange County).
