    Red Flatworms on Torch

Do not use flatworm exit, that stuff can wipe out a tank if not careful. It's not the liquid, but the flatworms themselves that release a toxin that wipes out everything. The reason being, you can't possibly see/find all of the flatworms, so there are more that you can't remove or see that...

    Red Flatworms on Torch

Planaria and use potassium chloride as a dip. You can use 2 teaspoons in one gallon of tank water for about 30 minutes. You can make the dip stronger (1-2 tablespoons per gallon) for a shorter time, 10 minutes or so. There are a few threads out there with recipes, times, etc. If you don't want...

    Smite's Stout CDA - 205G

Ah man, that really sucks! Those guys are workhorses and probably one of the best overall algae eaters out there.

    Aquarium lid suggestions?

Black mesh has two problems, it shows salt creep more than clear mesh and it also cuts down light quite a bit more than clear mesh does. I really wanted to like the black mesh, as it did look better, but there are cons too.

    Aquarium lid suggestions?

I got mine from Matt @ Octo Aquatics. He was one of the first to start making them. They're not cheap, but he has great customer service. There are few out there now, just make sure they use polycarbonate. I know it doesn't matter to you, but over time, it makes a difference. Octo Auatics

    Free Vizio 55” TV

Yeah, I’ve done all the things possible except open it up. Hard reset, power cable, remote reset, factory default when it stayed on, etc. I’ve replaced it with a TCL already, so I don’t want to mess with it and it’s taking up space in my studio, so I just want it gone at point. I figured there...

    Free Vizio 55” TV

Yeah, I tried all of the things listed, plus a few other things. It worked for a while, but then it stopped and nothing worked after that. I did everything but take it apart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Free Vizio 55” TV

Here’s the deal, this TV turns on, then turns off right away. I didn’t want to figure what was wrong with it, as I need a TV for work. So maybe a tech savvy person can fix it? Comes with remote, power cable, but no stand (or at least I can’t find it, as it was mounted on a rolling stand). FCFS...

    Wtb aptasia eating berghia

I purchased some from them a few years ago and they were shipped in pretty low salinity and not what they stated on their website. None of them survived after the first day and I reached out to them and never got a reply. Reef Town is another online source from St. Louis.

    Wtb aptasia eating berghia

All you need are two adults to fertilize the eggs and you’ll have more, but it will take a few weeks if not longer. I think 1-2 months is about how long it takes for them to build up a healthy population to be impactful against aiptasia. I keep looking for the tiny ones that I got, but haven’t...

    Wtb aptasia eating berghia

I had a friend pick up a few from them, but those things were so tiny that I doubt if they'll survive if you have a healthy pod population. They may have been 2-3mm long. They really shouldn't sell them when they're that small. I know Age gets them too, but haven't called them.

    Trade: Jawbreaker(s) for Berghia

Looking for 4-6 decent sized berghia. I'm not looking for babies or anything less 1/2", they're just too small to survive in my tank. Looking for local sources only. I have a few jawbreakers to swap.

    WTB acclimated Sailfin Mollies

Not an alternative, but confirmation that QT was successful. My very first saltwater fish were mollies when I was 11 years old, that was in 1980. Mollies are found near estuaries and will come and go between salt/brackish and fresh. Some Killifish are also found in full saltwater.

    Anyone still using selcon?

Selcon is good stuff, my link was more for the garlic info. Personally, I could cook with just garlic and olive oil alone and be happy. :p

    Having trouble with my nitrates

In regards to fw tanks, I've always found both N & P to be elevated when the tank doesn't have live plants or there's a lack of routine maintenance. The easiest way to set up a great low tech fw tank would be to follow the Walstad method. Live plants and active substrate are what keep it going...
