How's your tempreature? I've seen this thrive in tanks that get too hot or get allot of light. That's from personal experience. I had to cover my windows that were too close to the tank for the spreading to stop.

Pellets and low flow worked for me. Except I have a hungry yellow Tang that always took their food. I've seen people use the top of a 2liter bottle to create a dome to target feed them also.

Thank you for the heads up. I didn't realize dead bubble algae could also be a nuisance. I will look tonight when I get home and siphon whatever I can see. I usually go and buy saltwater over the weekend for my water changes. Everything looks clean and healthy after that.

It has to be shading. I went out of town for a couple of days and the white was noticeable when I got home underneath the green bubble alage.

Does this apply if you're not dosing? Wouldn't you want to have regular water changes if you don't have a doser?

I've had issues with temp swings in the summer. Keeping the tank stable is the best chance of success. I invested in a Chiller and do bi weekly water changes. That seemed to work. Are you looking into a chiller?
