Those might be RPE's, but definately NOT PPE's. IMO, heres a pick of "true" PPE's that I used to have.

I like the aqualine 20K, the best out of all the 20K's I have tried. They seem blue, but a little less blue, and a little more crisp than Ushio/XM/evc. But, of coarse, it is personal preference. good luck ,Mike

My sunset is the only monti that I have that does better at the very bottom of my tan, the other montis dont care much. Not sure why. I have 250w MH 14Kphoenix 20" deep. -mike

My friend has a 100G 24" deep corner tank with 400W and its doing great! But its mostly SPS. -mike

I personally would never put a ball valve on my drain(except in the case of wanting to fully turn it off, and not for regulation). This could lead to possible overflow issues. Only add ball valve to the return, and reduce the flow that way. As far as durso vs. stockman, Stockman is my choice...
