Too busy for my taste. There could also be a lot of "dead zones" with regards to flow and thus, detritus build up.

I am hard plumbed except for a 8" ish piece of flex from my return pump to my return manifold for noise reduction.

Really curious as well regarding your salt mix and test method. You could try pointing a power head at the surface of the water to aid in gas exchange and open a window near the tank for some fresh air.

Nice build! Question: do you have check valves on your returns? If something ever happened to your return pump, your tank could drain almost half way without them. I'm speaking from experience on this one lol

Very nice! And I can appreciate the "child proofing" measures taken!! About 2 weeks ago, I was cleaning up a whole bag of Seaweed Extreme pellets.......that had been dumped in my sump!!! My son said "the fishies were hungry"!

Could be a saturation of precipitate from your 2 part dosing....? I would check pH, Calc, dKH and Mag and adjust dosing as needed (if you see an imbalance).
