Well I received my replacement and it's MUCH quieter! I love this thing, so much flow and it's so quiet. Glad I got a replacement as it made me go from disappointed to really liking this pump.

I got my replacement pump last night and I installed it this morning. It's quieter than the old one for sure but it's still the loudest thing on the tank (don't have the skimmer yet so once I install one then I have a feeling it won't be noticeable). I'll make a video soon detailing everything...

Good News! Ecotech is sending me a new pump so I should be able to give an update in a few days. In other news I've mounted my heater/fan controller in my project box so all I have to do is wire it up and it should be up and running

Yeah, they said to run it slowly ramping up the speed every day. Coming in on day 5 now. I'll probably need a replacement and I'll report back with my findings.

Thanks for the heads up, I plan to remove it once I get my temperature controller installed and confirm the probe is accurate. Funny thing is that I have had one break on me too but without any disastrous results thankfully. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
