    Unique Sump Design...Need Advice

That looks alot better, my only concern now would be the flow going fom the frag section to the return area.. From the sounds of it you will have about 300 gph+ going thru that 3.5" section of slits... Can you increase the number of slits there? Similar to what you have for the fuge.. And to...

    DETANE's REEF (Custom Build)

Fireball is correct, although there are a number of different finshes that you could apply to keep the look and preserve the metal.

    Unique Sump Design...Need Advice

How much of that 900gph do you plan to run thru the fuge? I'd say that your still going to have quite a bit of flow going into the Skimmer section and it's going to get pretty violent trying to all flow over that 3.5" wide gap into the bubble trap.. I'd bet it raises to closer to 11" going over...

    Somebody Stop Me!!!

I have a small area around the return coming back into the tank where the water is able to leak slowly back down to the sump. Causing me to have enough water in my sump that it could potentially overflow.. I tried silicone once already and it still leaked down over time. I want to try it again...

2 Tanks one sump.. but this is hard

I have been throwing ideas around as to how to keep the lines cool up there.. But, that still wouldn't solve the issue with the return. Under the house is a no go.. If I ever build a home though.. you bet there will be Spa Flex going all over the place under that slab..

2 Tanks one sump.. but this is hard

I thought of that... but I thought a little more than that.. Maybe too much..!? Reverse your terminology and think about it again.. I bet you change your mind. Think of it as 1 tank and 2 sumps.. Get back to me on this.. :top: ps I got a '09 P Dub for $1250 OTD from NCY and traded that '05...

2 Tanks one sump.. but this is hard

Has anyone come up with an ingenious way to plumb 2 tanks together but have them on opposite sides of the house? I would like to put a small 10 gallon in my daughters room, but have it plumbed back to the main tank's sump in the living room.I have access to the attic above both tanks. This would...

    Barracuda 4300 GPH Pump

I cannot answer that for you.. I don't know what kind of head losses you may have, if it's being used as a closed loop pump, a sump pump, diverted, how many times you are trying to turn over your tank, what kind of flow you need, etc. etc. ??? So many variables... only you could really know the...
