This is so true. I gave seen people drop big $$$$$ and tank look like hell, and other do it on a budget like a high school kid and have one of the sickest tanks.

First you are correct in the Cali laws, it is against the law. Second our tanks are tropical water animals and the stuff here are cold water animals. So unless you have a huge chiller to keep your tank 65-70 degrees stuff will not last long.
