a story of two spoiled tangs

my tangs are becoming experts at associating the veggie clip with food... they are so good, they stop eating/grazing on hair algae. i rarely see them nips at the rocks lately. However, whenever i put in green or purple seaweed (attached to the Two-Fishes veggie clip), they'd rush in and eat like pigs... Does anyone have similar stories? is that a healthy behavior?

I've had tangs do this...don't give them any veggie-clip veggies for awhile and eventually they will (or usually at least) start picking on the rocks..
