I recently set-up a Inkbird ITC308 ... maybe I ordered the wrong model?

Anyhow it become apparent that it allows for full degree in temp swing before it kicks the heater on. It seems I can’t program it to turn on any sooner like say within a half degree. I have it set at 78 and the low at 77.

It cycles between that 77-78 range at least 3/4 times a day. Would that be considered an acceptable swing?

Cool thanks.

My “regular” (built in thermostat) heater keeps tighter params then that. I understand you wouldn’t want it too tight but would be nice if they allowed for at least .5 degree window.

Personal opinion, but I think maintaining a temp that swings between 1 and 2 degrees allows for less shock if the system strays outside those parameters as opposed to keeping a temp that is rock solid with .5 of a degree of swing. I hope that makes sense. It will also turn your heaters on less, saving you some electricity and wear and tear on the equipment.
