is it better to have them stuck to rock if you have sps and don't want them stinging sps? also have MP 10s without nem protection

They can walk all over the tank
Until it’s finds its happy spot. What I do generally place a rock separate turn of flow then it will grab onto it. Once it’s finds it’s happy spot it generally doesn’t move. Mine haven’t moved since I placed them on the rock.

But once it’s attached to a rock you can move the sps a bit further
