Both would do the job just fine but I'd lean towards the apex to control the kessils. But I think you'll need a vdm mod for the apex

I am considering the same. I am presently using the BlueFish controller for my Kessils and Ecoxotic Pro's. I don't need light control but I need a simple setup to turn off the heater if it goes bonkers and stays on. Apologizes if this steals the thread but it is similar. I like the Apex online display.

You wouldn't get online with the jr. If your only purpose is to regulate the temp in the tank then I would go with the cheaper option. Whichever makes it to the sale thread first

You can connect to apex fusion with an apex jr and view everything online.

Like Goober was saying you can get this option cheap, like $20 or less DIY. there is a person selling a temp control box with 2 outlets, 1 for heater and 1 for cooling devices for $40 shipped. I would go with the $40 option. His device is nice and clean.

No apologies needed how do u like the bluefish
I love it. Easy to setup and support is quick and personal, it is a one man business. I needed lots of help adding the Ecoxotic pros as moonlights plus one for daytime. I sent a request to BlueFish and got a reply in a few hours. It's been running for a year with no problems. Only wish BlueFish would get on with the rest of the 'stuff' like Apex.

Another vote for the Apex Jr.

I just did this comparison, and Apex Fusion is an absolute necessity. With RK, web access is another module. The RK ends up being more expensive for the same functionality.

I have the Apex Jr on my 70 (with the expansion bar) and love it. I did the comparison again for my 17 I'm building, and if I go with a controller (not sure about this yet) then it'll be Apex again.

I bought this. It was delivered today. Looks very well built, not installed yet. Thanks for the info. It is now $50. $11.oo shipping from San Diego area to 91741.
The Apex jr. looks to be in my horizon if BlueFish continues to be slow about their release of a similar piece of hardware.
I ordered the IceCap module that controls the Maxspect Gyre 150 today. Presently the Gyre is on 40% power 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off.

$50? I just read his post and he has like 20 of them left and the title of $40 has not changed. If you pm him, I'm sure you can get it for $40
