This month's topic will be "Fishes!", and I know everyone has fishes! So hopefully, we'll get a lot of participation. Doesn't have to be any exotic fishes, just a photo that you like of your favorite fish or funny photo.

The goal is to participate in this great community and practice your skills. Whether you are showing your best fish or simply learning to post pictures, you are all welcome to try.

The winner will get:

Bragging rights and just the satisfaction of sharing a photo with the reefing community. I can ask @EyeReef if he still has any SCR goodies, but looking at our Sponsors list...you might have to settle for a virtual high five...and the coveted POTM badge! :giggle: This local forum is going to be as good as we all make it! (y) Sending out good vibes to everyone who participates!

Here is how it works:
  • Each member can submit ONE photo entry into the POTM contest.
  • The photo must be one that you have taken. No pulling pictures from other forums, websites, etc.
  • Submit your photo right here onto this thread for participation.
  • There must be more than 5 entries in order for it to be a contest.
  • All entries will then be placed into a poll.
  • Photos can be submitted from now until the 22nd.
  • Optional: Would be nice to know what you are shooting with or filters used so we all can learn.
After April 22th (or around that time based on my schedule), a 7 days poll will go up and everyone on the forum can decide the winner.

Not the best pic, but wetmorella is one of my favorite genus, having only 3 species, the Tanaka is by far my absolute favorite of the three. This one was with me nearly 10 years before it passed. Hopefully I can find another one soon, because I really do miss this dude.

My other fishies (not for submission) — somehow I’ve gone full circle. I’ve started with fish -> softies, anemones -> LPS -> SPS. Now I’m going back to where I started! lol
My large tank is a softy tank with a bunch of green sinularia. It's fun and low stress. I miss the sticks, but just not the time in life for it right now. To all things there is a season.

Watching the sway of the softies is dope though. Mesmerizing for sure.
