Got a newer system going (about 6 mod) and added some new lights about a month ago. Had an inch outbreak so had to remove all fish to treat. Lost purple tang and hippo still needs some more time in QT.
In the meantime, I’ve had a steady GHA outbreak. I’m ready to start looking for some new fish to add.

What is the best fish for eating GHA? Right now I’m considering maybe a scopas and/or foxface. Anything else I should be considering for overall algae control?

How big is your tank?

Scopas eat a lot of algae. I have one. I would recommend it for GHA. Foxface may eat bubble algae, but maybe not as good for GHA. They also aren't totally reef safe. May pick on some corals.

I have a yellow, scopas, purple, sailfin and they all eat any algae really.

Currently battling the same in a 75 that’s making it a little harder. So far the fish I notice doing the most work are
Lawn mower blenny
Tomini tang but I’m sure any bristletooth type tang will work.

I haven’t noticed my tiny sailfin pick at anything on the rocks so far.

I'm on the hunt for a small scopas. I had one in my 180 and it was a good worker.

Urchin and blue legged hermits, lawn mower blenny, and even Molly’s all put in some work.

any tang as well. My scopus puts in work! But so does the hippo and yellow eye choke tang.

on thing I’ve heard about but never tried are sea hares. I hear they also put in work.
