OFFICIAL - Crazy Corals & LARS SPS Grow-out contest
Hello and welcome to the Crazy Corals and Los Angeles Reef Society, SPS Grow-out Contest.
For all you stick heads out there, the time is now to sign up as it will go fast. There are a limited amount. Do not sign up unless you will pick up from the LARS booth at MAX
A big thanks to our SCR supporter Crazy Corals for putting this together. As many of you have seen in the past, the SPS contests are a matter of survival.
For the best chance of healthy frags, all pick ups will be at MAX in order to ensure healing time on. MAX is April 18th and 19th.
There will be two contests Common (Yellow#1) - $25 buy in
and higher end Reef Raft Purple Locust#2 - $80 buy in
**all pick ups must be made at MAX - LARS booth.**
prizes will be announced on a new thread. once the contest starts. Please sign up if you are interested in the coral at the price it is offered. If you are not interested, save your posts for other threads.
These contests are to support local businesses and most importantly sponsors of SCR, as well as helping the local club. The next round of contests after these will likely move to another sponsor if they are interested. LFS's that have sponsored these contests are Chance of Coral, Tropical reef fish store, Reef Raft USA, and Coral obsessions. It helps everyone and supplies fun coral and contest for all of you.
Here are the rules for the contest. Please do not sign up if you cannot commit to the rules.
1. Participants must introduce themselves by posting a picture of their tank and details of their equipment. The picture does not have to be a full tank but must include enough of a view to see what you are working with. It can be multiple photos. This must be in by April 30th
2. All participants must arrange pick up and pick up at arranged time or forfeit their spot.
3. You must submit your first contest photo by April 30th. This will be your "DAY ONE" photo that will be used at the end of the contest. This picture must be a picture of the frag INSIDE of the tank. Please choose your location wisely as well as the angle of your photo so that you can continue to take pictures for the next 6 months.
4. You may submit one or two photos as your "DAY ONE" photo. do not submit more than two. At the end of the contest only one will be chosen (by you). If you submit ONE picture, you will only get to post ONE picture at the end. if you submit two pictures, IE:TOP and SIDE, you will get to submit one picture TOP or SIDE at the end to match the original. All participants will have only photo at the end.

5. every month you will have from the 15th to the end of the month to submit one photo. Failure to submit a picture will face elimination. Please only submit one picture.
6. Contest will end October 1st, 2015. Septembers' submissions will be the last entry. You may hold out as long as you want in September but must submit final photo(s) by October 1st.
