Finally found a stand for my Nuvo 16 I got from a member here! I bought the stand from Eddie at Cadlights and I'm happy with the construction.

This tank will be an upgrade to my 8g cube and house my clownfish "Scarface" that I got from Chad at Coral Gazers a while back.

I will be using the Makersled build I had on my 8g and hang the light higher for coverage.

This thread is nothing without pics, so here it goes!

I stopped at Coral Gazers today and bought some live rock. Unfortunately, the big piece didn't fit so I gotta find a smaller piece, but here's what I got to work with so far.

Well, after a lot of experimenting, I think I'm gonna settle for this scape. It's a little big for the width of the tank and would look better farther apart, but I think I'm gonna go with this. It has plenty of places for zoas on the rocks, even some sps. There's not much sand bed room for stuff, but that's what the rock is for...

Great news! Tank is cycled and my Clownfish Scarface is in his new home! Transfered some of the clean up crew from my last tank, and the dreaded sexy shrimp. Now I gotta clean up the cabling and setup the DJ switch.

Well, did some adjustments to the Leds. I wasn't happy with the color rendition so got some advice from an led guru. The idea was to replace two of the cree neutral whites with luxe on rebel neutral whites 4000k to bring out more of the Reds.

I removed the red from the ledgroupbuy OCW'S and kept the cool blue and turquoise leds. End result, much better color rendition. Reds look more natural and it brought the color temperature down to give it a more "natural" look.

Overall, I am satisfied but I am planning an experimental build known as an "evil cluster" on Nano reef; a 12w bridge lux 4000k led surrounded by luxeon M 10w leds, cool blue, and cyan.

Pics of current tank, although you wouldn't be able to tell the difference I a picture.
