I bought api copper test for my qt to get it to therapeutic levels of copper power. The API copper test was so inaccurate I lost two coral beauties by the time the hanna checker came in! Api showed between 1-2ppm and the hanna came in at 3.65ppm!

What copper product are you using? Certain test kits are recommended for certain copper treatments but the hanna is good for all.

    • Cuprion (0.20 ppm): Seachem or Salifert copper test kit
    • Cupramine (0.4 - 0.5 ppm): Seachem or Salifert copper test kit
    • Coppersafe (1.5 - 2.0 ppm): API copper test kit

    • Copper Power (1.5 - 2.0 ppm): API copper test kit

I was surprised with my results. API kits are hard to read the colors. Also i just mixed 5ml of CS per 4 gallons as instructions stated and tested. After it tested correct I just went by measurements for water changes.
