Well. I bought two Lyretail Anthias from Tongs. Acclimated for almost three hours. One died the second day then today the other is dead. I got credit for the first one due to the twenty-four hour warranty. They tested my water and all was good but salinity was a little high. 1.025 which it is.

I don't believe this Tongs always die stuff. I have fish in my tank for almost two years from them. I've had them die from every store. At least the six I shop at.

I swear I have a fish hump that I cannot get over in my tank. I am stuck to forever have only seven fish in my tank. It's a ninety gallon if you're wondering.

your salinity isn't high, 1.025 is where you want your salinity to be. i totally get what you're going, i was doing everything right and still couldn't keep any fish alive. but finally with some patience and really long acclimation times, i seem to be getting over the hump.

You know, I haven't checked my salinity myself. I should. I could be wrong on the 1.025. But when he said it seemed high, it brought to mind that I ran out of top off water and added some already mixed saltwater to my ATO a day or so before going in to buy something. So it seemed logical to me. I'll check it tomorrow.

Seven small fish in a ninety doesn't look like enough fish. My clowns are about two years old. Bought them from a breeder about the size of dimes. They're now about the size of quarters. My blue Tang(from Tongs) is also about one and a half years old. Got it about the size of a quarter. Might be a fifty cent piece now. My tank is stunted and restricted to seven fish I guess.

If I were to take a picture of it tomorrow, and post one from July/August of 09' when I set it up. Not much change. What's in it is alive and healthy. Just on a turtles pace.
