Foxface Sting or Something else

Got home today and noticed my Tomini Tang with White mark on face.

Foxface is a new addition to tank (7 days). Tomini has been very aggressive towards it. Is this a sting from the foxface? The Tomini seems to have backed off and foxface is now swimming the tank freely.

Kinda hard to see with all the blues. I would try to take pics with white lights so others can help identify?

Maybe the Foxface spine punctured the Tang in self-defense?

Couldn't get a good shot this morning, but it seems to be almost healed up. Going to try again later today when I do the mysis feeding

Just keep an eye on the injury and see how it progresses. This is how fish figure it out.

I have 2 FF with other fish and yes, they can sometimes sting and the other fish’s injury is usually more acute. Looks like the tang could have bumped into rocks and scraped its mouth? Anyway, you should monitor closely and treat if necessary. Good luck!
