uhm... would be very cool to get a big school of yellow tangs. One can save so much money flying to Hawaii and rent snorkeling & scuba gear! lol

I mentioned that to @Tangerine Speedo but apparently the thought of getting caught doing something possibly less that 100% legal made him think twice ..
I don't blame him... But if i had the opportunity for a Bandit angel to ride home with me...........

It’s ok - we can schedule a monthly meet-up to visit @Tangerine Speedo in jail? ;)

I love angels but the Bandit Angel is ugly — sorry

All bs aside - love those yellow tangs from @Dooly -- they are super healthy and active, eating pretty much everything!

Honest feedback: they are not as bright yellow as my matured Hawaiian YTs but I'm sure they'll color up when they get older. I suppose young Hawaiian YTs aren't bright yellow as well?

I was looking at your pix and i don't think they have colored up 100% yet.
I remember when they 1st were shown off at MACNA in San Diego. On Friday they were clear and about the size if a quarter. By Sunday at the close of the show, and when they sold for (if i recall correctly) over $1000 ea, they were yellow like yours. As they mature I'm sure they'll be just as yellow as the wild caught.

We might smuggle in some Nori for him in the meat wallet . ...

And yea, Bandits aren't the most colorful, but they are different.. ive had just about everything at some point so different is cool in my book.. You might not like what I have on the way either, but to each their own... Its all good.
I had a Griffith's Angel for quite a while and that was definitely not gonna win any beauty contests, but i was the only person I knew who had one ...

Whats people's take on Biota lobbying for the permanent ban of Hawaiian fish. Biota has $ in their minds but conservation is a must too. Better fish population counts and stringent quotas before and after harvest? Sure would be nice to see potters back on the menu.

Boycotting Biota now... Apparently even the founder no longer can stomach them. I am all for people making a buck, but trying to prevent natives and locals from a living is not cool. Also creating a situation where other aquaculture companies can not exist because of a broodstock monopoly is also a bad thing.
If there was actually some sort of problem where the Hawaiian fishery was over fished that would be one thing, but that is not the situation. It was political and for optics, and the actual science was never considered.
The last thing I will say is we do not need any more clownfish in the world...

What’s seemingly our only sponsor just trying to get tangs to the people at a decent price. lol.
All this news just kinda of dropped in the past couple days so no fault on him... Hell, I had a completely different opinion a couple days ago.
Those fish need a home, and they should get one.
