I appreciate all your input: they are extremely valuable. I’m trying to learn before making a mistake. I have a 200 sqf insulated single garage the door cannot be as insulated as the walls of course. I have been monitoring temp and humidity with Govee constant monitor and the temp is only 3-5 degrees lower in garage than in living room with doors closed. Not sure how it will be with summer. I’m still waiting for a hot day to test out.

Thanks for letting us know. I will keep an eye out for it.

I do have a glass cover on my tank so I only get a little evaporation. I manually top of RODI water and it is a very small amount. I can see that changing in the summer when it gets hotter. I will probably have to remove one of the lids to run the fan.

I am hoping that having the garage attached to the house and leaving the garage door open will solve those humidity issues.

What are your techniques. Do you mind sharing to us young Pediwans?
Living in southern Ca helps a lot as our weather is pretty mild here. Every garage is different, depending on the amount of sun, size, insulation, height construction and other factors. My garages were and are some what insulated and situated in such a way I don’t get huge temperature increases in the summer. They do get cold in the winter however. Some years are worse that others. I have storage in another garage that gets colder in winter and much hotter (110 degrees) in the summer. The cost of keeping a tank there would be much higher at best.
All my garage tanks were insulated, some more than others. For a while I had 3 60 gallon tanks stacked one above the other. The one end and half the back had 2” of pink insulating foam enclosing them year round. When it got cold I would enclose the rest of the back and other side with 1” of pink foam. The front of the tanks would be closed with a 4x6’ sheet of the same pink styrofoam on colder nights. So in winter I had a big 4x2x6’ pink box in the garage. In summer a fan on a controller was all I needed to keep the temp in check.
