Like how tf are these Lil plastic mofos this much? Can I get gate valve at home depot?
Currently have ball valve and need more precision dialing flow

Gate valve is where you’ll get precision. I believe home depot parts gave cheap metals in them. Gate valves, check valves,….

You can order cheaper ones on Amazon but there is a noticeable difference. Spears gate valves are turn like butter. I would go Spears but look for a $10 off coupon.

lol - scroll down to the 1 1/2" one. I paid $100+ for the valve on my drain line! I do feel your pain...

Yikes, I don’t remember paying that much. Definitely would not have paid $200 for manifold.

So brs states can't just unscrew union connectors from ball valve and reconnect/swap to gate valve. This accurate?

Ball valve sucks and yes handle snapped. Thought i could just unthread ball valve and slide gate valve in its place between unions

Yup - doable but not a plug & play. I spent 2 weeks plumbing my big tank - that was painful!

Not that worth it to tweak - you only adjust it once right? Noise level is good so why bother tweaking?

If you're using a DC pump you could adjust the speed on the pump to tune your drain.

If you need a gate valve, buy once, cry once….spears are solid.
