What gyre pumps do you have? Most have a setting that communicates with one another

I'll be honest, I didn't find that gyres produce a good standing wave, but I would try pulse mode (or similar) and anti-sync. You'll have to fine tune the duration to the length of your tank/wave.

My Tank Build
Gyres are great for pushing laminar flow on top of the tank. I used to have two pairs of Maxpect XF330 & XF350, both Cloud Editions, blowing on top of the 8ft tank. They push a lot of water! However, I’ve swapped them for MP60s since I didn’t like cleaning them every month — they get noisy when dirty! The MP60s have been running for the last 6mos with zero cleaning and zero issues!

One the wave engine you have a lot of settings. First min and max flow of the pump when setting it up. Then when you create the schedule you can use the % again within the range you set I have 2 schedules set up one for day flow and the other for night flow. I think the foursquare flow pattern is pretty good . I use the ocean swell mode at night ans lower the percentages
