This happened to me recently. My brain died and EB8s went haywire. My solution was to ditch Apex completely and now running Hydros. It’s been great for me and I’m happy with it.

Ive been toying with going hydros. The stuff is cool. But with a catastrophic failure, I didn't want to risk a protracted implementation.

Understood, I ran my tank on power strips for about a month until I wad able to purchase and implement the new system. So it was on bare necessities for that duration

I feel you. I wish there was a way to have an SD card drive to store the programs on. I know there’s a way to mirror modules.
Here’s a question, does an EB832 work with the classic apex? I’m not expecting to have the monitoring functions, but to be real I don’t even pay attention to that stuff. I look at my Edison usage maybe twice a year. I got so sick of all the alerts I turned them all off except leak detection, low sump level, high heat.

I believe all the aquabuss stuff is forward and backward compatible.

Hey Mark hope you are doing well, I don't think Reef fix is in business any more. I have tried several times in the last few months to contact them with no luck.
I am going to start changing over to Hydros in the next few months, I think it is a better product and great customer service.
FixReef is still in business. The owner replied to my inquiry if they were still in business. LOL.

So how do you clone an Apex programming? Would be nice to have a backup.

This is what google says about cloning an Apex brain

The issue lies in the fact you have to label the modules. The brain assigns the modules an address. That address isn’t something another brain will recognize. A different brain will assign the module a different address. So you still have to do the work of mirroring the commands to the outlets on that module
