Hi all, any one know's why my pulsing xenia is turning gray? this is the second one in two month to turn up this way. The first one I had did the exact same thing it turned gray and shrunk then died. Now the second one is doing the same thing. This is on 8gal, plenty of flow and 150w MH all water parameters are good. Please help.

I have bad luck with xenia also. They usually like higher nitrate and Iodine supplement. If running carbon, maybe take it off line for a week or two and lightly dose Lugols Plus (note toxic at elevated levels though!)

Ok I move them over to my 60gal where I have several big xenia that are doing well. I will check my Iodine and strontium and see where its at.

thanks for the advice.

I just switch to MH and now my xenia is shrinking day by day. But some of my branches of xenia are okay. I only lost one stalk. I think it is different source of light and some stalks can't adjust. Survival of the fittest.
