That is ok, I know our Better Than Free Shipping program is different from any other vendors do. Each person will get the discount that their order qualifies for. Please let me know if you have any other questions about this.

So if a participant buys at less than $110 worth of livestock, that person will get no discount and still pay their split of the shipping? I guess I'm not seeing much of a deal here.

I'd think this would encourage people to just do a group buy without letting you know so that it looks like it's from a single buyer. Then everyone gets a bit of a discount regardless of the amount they spend. IME with group buys the vendor usually applies a percentage across the board and once a certain amount is met the group buy is authorized...moreover, some will do free shipping at the $300+ amounts. Frankly if I'm spending $425+ in livestock saving a few bucks on shipping is a pretty low concern.

Often times group buys with a flat discount have a minimum amount before the discount kicks in (no different than our BTFS discount) and they often apply it only to specific items. Using our existing BTFS program to give the discount lets us apply it to a wider range of livestock on the website, so everyone can get what they want. If you would rather place it as a single order and not tell us it's a group buy, you are certainly welcome to do so. There's no fair way for US to divide up an aggregate group BTFS discount if it's placed as one big order - the guy who buys more is going to want more of the discount than the guy who only purchased a couple of $15 frags. If you would prefer to work out all those details on your end and collect payments yourselves, and sorting out the order once you receive it (We label each item with individual purchaser names if we get the orders separately -we are not able to do that with one big order) that's fine. Using our existing BTFS discount structure and applying it to each individual order placed is the fairest way we've been able to work out to do it on our end. This way anyone placing a smaller order still gets his discounted shipping, and anyone placing a larger order will get both the discounted shipping and BTFS savings.
