Well, I just packed up my last ATI test kits to mail Monday and it’s time for me to buy some more. They are cheeper if you buy 4 at once…

then I started thinking, the ATI test is the most comprehensive, which is why I started using it in the first place and I do have 10 or so tests recorded in their website already.

~But~

My tank is now basically new and those old results have no influence on anything, last crash all but sterilized the tank

And,

It seems to take 3+ weeks to get ATI results.

And,

I find the ATI website excruciating to navigate. Lots of dead ends with no way back.

What do you recommend?

Hey Mark, not sure of this is the same one you're referring to but this is the one i just used a few weeks ago and i got my results back in 1 week. I like that they test your ro water and your tank saltwater as well. Its a bit pricey compared to others but well worth it imo.

Yep, thats it but I never used the North America url, always this one https://atiaquaristik.com/en/

and good luck finding where to log in :(

if you guys say they have gotten turnaround to 1-2 weeks, ill stick with them. 3-4 weeks is useless when you are having a problem.

i like this one https://www.triton-lab.de/en/

the lab is at unique corals and results get back pretty quickly

i don't like icp-analysis much. it's the cheapest, but they always seem to have issues going on. they took like 2 months to get results back to me earlier this year, and then recently they accidentally uploaded ppb results as ppm, so it made me think my tank was chernobyl

I like ATI. My last 2 have been 7 days on the dot. I'm also getting "test received" emails when I didn't before so maybe they straightened some stuff out. I get the results about 24 hours after I get that email, so about 8 days total. That's about 4-5 days faster than they used to be for me.

Problem with ATI is their shipping to Germany, while Triton is local. I had my test with ATI, it's about 2 week. Gonna try with Triton.

I've only used ATI or Triton. Mail your ATI samples on Wednesday and you'll have them the following week (at least that's been my experience so far). I've had one or two go longer, but most are ready by Tuesday evening our time. I use Triton when I need something fast, as Unique is 15 minutes from me. I believe they Test on Mondays (could be another day?) and Fridays, which you should have your results Sunday evening or Monday. I've never used any other ICP testing, as I've heard too many horror stories of botched samples and inadequate results. I use the reef moonshiners method, so ATI is the way to go, as their tests are slightly broader than Triton and the addition of the RO testing is worth it. Plus, it's $5 cheaper than Triton.
