I think you'll be okay, once biofilm develops, it will slow things down a little. Plus, once you get some growth, you'll need the extra power. Run it low and save on energy. :D

The fish stock looks good. How many fish do you have in the tank?

Random thought, does anybody have issue with nori just falling to pieces when they place it on the clip? I fold mine up til its a tiny square and still does it, not like it dissolves but i see pieces flying everywhere.

I had a bag where my cats bit into so the nori dried out a bit and it never did that which would seem cleaner for the tank, just some food for thought

Yes, my nori does the same thing, but I like it like that. I think it is the brand I usually order from Amazon. It's thin, so it does fall apart fast. I actually like it though because it feeds my smaller fishes that can't compete with my tangs on the clip.

I also blend my nori, and I broadcast feed it at night. I run a fairly dirty tank, so I don't mind. The fishes are fat and happy.

If you get the reef type nori, it cost a lot more, but it is thicker and doesn't disintegrate as fast. But at the end of the day, it all gets eaten...so I don't really care.
