Pump for RSK 900 protein skimmer. Mine’s not producing enough bubbles.

Near Fountain Valley would be great.

The fastest, easiest, painless, and proven method has been to throw some dead presidents at the problem! ;)

Clear the air intake of calcium buildup, pull the impeller out and clean it, make sure the silencer is clear from buildup or obstructions. Let the pump run without the venturi to make sure it has plenty of power. If none of those work, then maybe you need a new pump. This is why it's important to shut off your skimmer every once in a while to clear anything in the air intake and let the water wash it away.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah it was a week’s worth of effort. Also cleaned with vinegar and still didn’t help.

This was the level of bubbles I was getting with the old pump:

Got a new pump and now it looks like this. The bubbles look completely different. Honestly don’t know the science behind it but I guess the old pump was worn out?

Replace the impeller for sure. Does the impeller magnet swelling ?

Try to remove the impeller from the New pump and put it in the old pump.....see if it makes the difference.
