Thanks dudes

I did start working on my excessive nutrients. I got an aquamaxx sigma reactor but for some reason the pump was like supercharged, so I couldn’t softly tumble gfo. So I went with a phosban and that has been running for a week or so, I was down to 0.66 po4 after a couple days. I need to test again today so I don’t drop it too fast. Maybe just my brain wanting positive results as it might be too soon, but I feel like this bc Kermit song granny already has nicer tips with less green

the main impetus of wanting to lower po4, well other than slow growth, is I got this nice pastel white with purple tips tort from Steve Garrett and it promptly went uggo green with weak purple tips

stuff I’ve gotten from him does seem to go through a bit of a transition from the sunlight he uses to tank lights, but this just sealed the deal for me, gotta get the po4 especially under control

copperband and bangaii are still chillin in qt. i ramped up copper on them so done on the 26th. the copperband is tiny so pe mysis isn't on the menu, but hikari mysis and brine and LRS seems to be a hit. still crossing my fingers since it's a copperband that might just randomly die, but i'm hopefully out of the woods a bit. i'm kinda excited about the bangaii too. i had one in my old tank, and even considered rehoming him because he was "boring," but have missed the shape. plus fairly stationary fish are cool with me since my tank has just about everything else. he can hover with the sunburst anthias

one minor bummer is i picked up the copperband because the pearlscale wasn't taking to pellets. so i was like well f it if i'm gonna have to feed frozen every single day anyway, might as well get another copperband. within a week of getting the copperband, the pearlscale decided to just mow down pellets

not much else new, po4 is down to .2 and growth seems better? perhaps wishful thinking or stuff just getting to a decent size to grow quicker. i also ordered a quanta reef crest bar. figured i'd start there and see how blue it is and then get a 2nd if i like the amount of blue.

i have some diatomish/cyano going on that started prior to lowering the po4. i think it's RODI related? i'm at 0 TDS getting through, but i needed to replace a couple filters that looked dirty. oddly enough the same brown uggo is in the fish qt tank so that's why i'm thinking it's related. but i did also do a thorough sand bed vacuuming over the last month or so. i generally just stir up a little bit and siphon it out, but i figured with my perpetual high nutrients, i'd see if i can't dislodge whatever might be in the sandbed, and when I’ve done that in the past I seem to get diatoms for a bit after

You're getting quite the acro collection. Fish and corals are looking great
thank you!

yes.. the collectoritis has definitely sunk in :ROFLMAO: things are getting a bit desperate, most of the pics above are on some new smallish rocks that i tossed in and plan to stick onto rocks. one i'm gonna straight up glue on top of the stump of a green stag i got rid of

now that i look at it, i really lack some good reds. i have pc rainbow in multiple spots, and a couple pieces of red planet hanging out, but i probably should've prioritized those a bit more. i just keep cranking the whites up so it's hard to avoid pretty blue and purple acros that nobody appreciates anymore

Go as white as you want, CB maleficent will still pop if you see one for a decent price :)

holy crap thats a sweet pack!

That coolers turaki is awesome looking.
yeah i was unbagging that one and like woah lol. it predates me in the hobby by a long shot, but from what i googled it was mostly hawkins looking, but more tall growing. granted this was a fresh cut and therman told me they're fairly similar, so i'm guessing it'll grow big and this is just what the new growth looks like, but still i'll take it

yeah that's a really nice one, i had one for a minute but i forget what happened to it other than i definitely no longer have it lol

i wouldn't mind some red stags so red robin and cb omg seem appealing. but with the new rock i can work in another table or two if i want to be really greedy.. which i almost certainly am

yeah he’s a cool guy, I highly recommend him. It’s hard to beat SoCal coral prices, but he has some very unique stuff that’s hard to find 👍
Yeah, he's banked a lot of coral for people over the years and has most of Adam's (Battlecorals) main pieces. I also think his prices are on point for what he's selling.
