Well I might have moved to fast out of excitement and picked up a hammer and a small Micromussa colony as the first corals in my tank. Along with a pair of perc clowns.

The hammer seems to be doing great, full color and full extension everyday. The micro on the other hand difinetly looks like it is squeezing together tighter with each day. It has only been in the tank 4 days now but has yet to return to "full fluff" with feeding arms out as it was in the LFS where I bought it.

My parameters are off I know that and working to raise Alkalinity. The alkalinity is sitting at 5.8 dkH which i know is really low. Any opions as to if it will get better as I raise dkH? Any other ideas? Placement wise it is near the bottom of the tank in a medium flow area. I have a single AI Hydra 26 HD on the tank for lighting.

Any help is much appreciated, kind of regretting my sort of impulse purchase as it was fairly "expensive" for a first coral.

Thanks!
Ben
