LOL you are using T5 under your tank stand?

Just go with the Phillips Hue. I have an echo dot that controls them. You can also integrate it with your apex for certain functions.
You have the strips and is Apex able to communicate with Echo without all of the extra inputs/devices I used to see people do for voice activation?

Oh no, I meant T5 as main light. I do have a extra Radion G4 trying to sell. If I no one wants to buy it, might as well use it for under the sump then.

What is everyone using for lighting under their stands these days? I used to have a LED fixture that was triggered by a BOB when the door opened. Been looking at some of these strip LED’s on Amazon and I like what I’m seeing.

I’d go with color changing led strips. Since you have frosted glass you can use it as accent lighting and you can pick a color or have them change. I was planing on doing that with my current billing but I went with a farm house stand insted

The Phillips Hue strips have a rainbow of colors. You just need the hub and one or two of the strip packages.

I just say "Echo, turn on sump lights."

Oops, didn't mean to quote Ev'e.

Lol

Doing well! My tanks have completely turned around since I added that chloramine monster to my RODI

I used to have a chloramine canister on my RODI. By all accounts the water quality here in Hacienda Heights is supposed to be good but I may add one just to be safe.

Got the RODI nicely mounted on the wall-in. Now I just need to drill the hole through the wall into the bathroom next door and I can start making water.

Bean do I need the Hue hub or just the echo (I have 3)?

Can you post a pic of your strip lights under the tank?

Good idea. I lived in Fontana for 2 years and my tank exploded. Everything looked very happy with lots of color and growth. Then I moved to Riverside and lost all my sps. Last year we bought a house in Jurupa Valley and the water is worse than Riverside’s. Ever since I added the chloramine monster and a dedicated RODI for the reef tanks, I’ve been able to keep sps alive again.

Chloramine Monster... its a 20" Carbon Filter. I have one before my 6 Stage RODI. Should last a few years before you have to replace the filter. Its a beast. Highly recommend. It also prolongs your other filters life.

So one more question:

MP40’s or MP60’s?

Currently have 1 MP40 but it feels a little loose on the glass. I have the gasket on for my tanks thickness (3/4), but man it’s a little loose. I understand once under the pressure of water that it shouldn’t fall off and of course securing it with the zip ties and little sticky mounts should keep it from falling to the floor if it is to comes loose. Just wondering if I should ungrad to 60’s to be extra cautious?
