So im planning or setting up a new build that im going to do. My wife will only let me to upgrade my tank if she picked the stand that goes with her style. And she did but my problem with it i have to scratch my entire tank and gear in mind. Before im going for a simple 45 gallon all in one tank cube. But she wants a little wider since is have the same width of my current tank. So i told her about the 40g long of cobalt and she said yes but the stand she want only have 15 width as the tank have 18.

Now im thinking if these build any suggestion let me know which one is much better or easier to keep.

Is it an open stand? Wondering if a sump is out of the question for the nuvo black. If it is then I would go with the AIO as well.

This will be the stand. Its going against the window with blinds. No direct sunlight i guess.

That stand looks nice. Just check it out in person if possible, I've felt some shaky tank stands at Petco and Petsmart.

I know many of us have used Val to build a custom stand. I was very happy with my 100g stand, I opted to stain it myself but I know the price was about that if not less for a 100g with 3 doors. I'd imagine for a smaller stand it would be even cheaper.
Here is his ad on CL. His ad says LAX to Garden Grove but I know he was based out of Garden Grove when I used him. Good guy mine was a few weeks turn around.

i've been eyeing this tank for a while and might pull the trigger myself on one of these systems... looks so sleek and nice

The AIO is your cheapest option. If you get the nuvo black, I would get the Seachem HOB filter instead of the AC50 since the Seachem filter will also surface skim. Another option is nuvo black but drill the tank and install overflow, but you would also need to run a sump. Cost a bit more but the install will look way cleaner. I have the nuvo 20, even though everything is in the back chamber seeing the skimmer pop up with all the power wires coming out in the back and ATO hose it gets pretty cluttered. If I had to pick my next tank I would run a sump, I just want to see my tank and my Light and that's it. The baller option would be to get the new NUVO EXT Micro 30L, which also runs a sump but you get the best of both world. The low iron glass from the AIO but maximum real estate from the Nuvo Black.

I was thinking of getting im 30l black since i have ac50 on my 20 right now im thinking of getting cpr refugium then i can put skimmer on that the pnly thong that sucks with that idea will be the pump inside the dt and cpr will be very visible as it sits high. Another thing that i run into is the length of the stand my wife wants is longer than the tank which is 50 and tanks that i want are 36 long.
