It's time to get serious... SPS is growing out the top of my display. My 25g frag tank is a mess, it is so packed I am waking up every morning to some so of coral warfare. My 30g AIO IM trash tank is just not big enough... But I do have the 36" I think I may have a temporary solution.
Introducing the Aqua Japan 3' x 2' x 16" frag tank... Rimless, bottom braced, 1/2 thick glass, EXT Bean overflow. I am going to get rid of the IM 30g and replace it with this. I am also eventually combine the new tank with the 25g frag with the sump under the new tank.
I found an IM APS stand at my local LFS, I was going to do extruded aluminum but this worked out slightly cheaper. I am so over wood stands, they are not very good at constantly getting wet, which happens if you are fragging all the time. So right now I am gathering bits and pieces, but the holiday is taking up most of my spare time.
Hopefully I can start getting this going after the holidays....

Sweet — nice setup! Good luck with the build.

You know - if you do have a SPS “infestation” issue, our community can help you eradicate them? I got plenty of space for these poor creatures… just saying! ;)

Never heard of aqua japan but sounds awesome. I thought I’d enjoy my current LPS tank because things grow slower but they sting worse and crowding is maybe a worse problem.

Good problems to have I suppose

That's awesome and a great footprint! Can't wait to see this thing full. AJ tanks are getting better all the time and I really love that they have external overflows, I wish other manufacturers would do the same, I'm so over internal box overflows.

Always go for the biggest tank size from the start. LOL.

That’s an awesome looking tank and the stand fits perfect. Can’t wait to see this thing filled with corals!

So an update... You would think I would have it up and running by now... But busy with life.
It is plumbed and moved into position. Have to level it and test for leaks. It is a bit crowded in the fish room (dining room). The 30g that occupied the space it still running and I have to transfer over the corals once the frag gets up and running. I carried 80g of NSW through my friends hatchery and up a flight of stairs, halfway through my watch tells me I completed my exercise ring for the day....
