I don't know how you guys do the grow out competitions but I'm down to donate 10 frags from our store if someone from one of the clubs wants to organize it. Let me know how it works and what the rules are when I make the frags Or if we can do it on the frags we already have growing I know we have 10 frags of the same thing because I just fragged a couple colonies today.

I think they usually do an SPS grow out. We have enough frags to donate 10 for a competition. Maybe zoos can be the next one.

I think if we paid like 10-20 each we could do a cool grow out of something worthwhile of growing :)

The last grow out was supposed to be a socalireefs grow out but IEMAS took it over when tropical reef fish store wanted to call it their second annual. They messed it up big time so reef raft took over as the sponsor. I will clean that one up so we can move on.

As for this one...
Sps are easiest to track and actually involve skill to not just keep alive but to grow. Zoas can grow in anyone's tank but if it was for competition you could count heads when it's over. All pieces need to be similar in size. And picked up at the same time.

I'm in for either coral. Sign me up

Sounds like Steve knows how to do this… Lets get a list and we need to get someone to organize if anyone wants to volunteer. I agree, SPS is the best way to do it. I'll consider zoos for another time.
