Hi everybody,

I recently found a good deal on a 55 gal with Sump, Skimmer, Pump and all. The person i got it from was moving away and didnt want to deal with it. She had it for about 2 years. I have been dealing with freshwater for a couple of years so i thought i could do this. Boy was I wrong. lol So the tank has been set up for about 2 months now and running good. My water and flow are great. I decided to join this forum to gain more knowledge and meet new peeps. So anyone close to 90270 and wants to meet up and share knowledge or just hang out and check out each others tanks hit me up. :becky:

Bubble algea looks like 5-10 round spheres bunched up together. If you look closely at the sponge you will see it really looks like a kitchen sponge:)

Bubble algae is smooth and dark green. Sponges have pores if u look closely. They are filter feeders and good for your system.

Excess nutrients... The bad kind. Let them be. They consume the nutrients you don't want in your tank. When I first set my tank up I had hundreds... Now I can count on 1 hand how many I see.
