New to the forum \_(ツ)_/ ...and reefing

Hi my name is John and I'm new to this forum. I have a pretty basic tank but I'm looking to expand with maybe soft corals but as I'm told I need lighting. So I'd appreciate it if I could get some help purchasing a good light

If you're ever in OC, or going to MAX this Saturday I have a 3' t5 fixture you can have to get you started. 4x39 watt t5. You'll need new bulbs though.

Shoot me a pm and let me know when you want to pick it up. I got it as part of a QT setup I bought. I think its a coral life. It has some moonlight leds but you'll need to get the transformer/power plug for them.

I'll check it out and make sure it's working 100% before you make the drive.

Unfortunately one of the ballasts is fried and Coral Life charges $50 for replacements.

Anyone know of a cheaper replacement for these things? The fit just looks so tight in there, it looks like theyd have to be pretty exact.
