just scrolled the thread and saw that a lot of people have not posted any update pics. The contest ends in two weeks and some have never sent in an update picture.

+1 Supmar85: The next time there is another contest, it should be manditory that everyone has to post a picture every week (whether there is growth or not, it only takes a few minutes)(if you don't post, YOUR OUT) I, as Im sure others (those in the contest and those who are not), would like to see the progression of the frags, regardless if they have grown or not.

LETS SEE SOME PICS,

just saying "I WIN" doesn't count. (not saying that anyone would do this, but its nice to see some sort of confermation)
well done for those that have posted.

I've posted a pic of when I got it and the growth about half way through the contest. Personally, I think a weekly photo is not really necessary. I have my frag in a spot where I can't get a good shot anyway. In the beginning, I moved it around quite a bit to find its happy spot. Now that I've found it, I don't wanna touch it anymore. We all know that keeping our hands out of the tank equals happy corals. :). My zoas/palys grow faster when I don't bother them. But if u guys want blurry pics that don't say much, I guess I can post some, but what good what that do anyway? I really don't think anyone is cheating here... Just my two cents!

Oh but I do agree that atleast a post with some kinda picture at some point of the contest should be mandatory.

Ok, so i was doing some tank maintenance and i thought i'd take some final pics since the contest is coming to an end... Here's what i came up with. 16 full heads with another one just opening up. So i guess it's safe to say that i'll have 17 heads when the contest ends... Check out the pics and judge for yourself.

Just to be honest with you all, it really is hard to count the exact numbers of polyps from the photos since there are smaller "open" polyps underneath the adult polyp that are hidden, so here's what i did. I took a top-down shot of the "colony" , then i took a shot of the colony closed up to count the exact polyps , and then i took a left and right shot (the left and right shot are the side shots from the second photo) You can determine it by the bunched up polyps as opposed to the free standing ones... Anyway, here they go.

Colony top-down

Up-top closed polyps

Left shot

Right shot

Sorry guys, I've been on vacation the last 10 day.

I don't have a new picture, but my last count was 13/14 polyps, so I don't think I'm in the running anymore :(

I have 15 polyps total so I am not winning. I think newnanoboys 17 will take it down unless theres a dark horse somewhere out there
