It scared me this morning, the SCE did the pole maintenance and got power outage for about 3 hours.....I thought it's gonna last longer, Thank God only 3 hours.

I don't have any UPS on hand and was worry. My battery air pump was in the garage...and can't get them, too dark in the garage.

What are you guys have backup plan for the Power outage ? Please share..... Thanks.

I use a solar battery generator. I only use about 2500 watts a day. Between a sunny day and full power start I have 40 hours of usage. If I only cut it back to pumps I can easily run 70 hours.

Good discussion! I have been trying to figure out a good solution until a longer term fix like solar panels and a Tesla power wall fit into the budget. What solar generator/battery are you using? Anyone with a gas/propane generator hooked up to the main panel?

I have a generator that runs on gas for worst case

for shorter I just bought an icecap battery backup. I figure if the power goes out when I’m not home I’ll need the battery backup to put in work until I get home

A Bluetti eb 150. Don't need to worry about outages any more. I'm building a bigger system that will run only on solar. The unit I use now does a great job for a backup.

I have a generator in the garage. When I had the big tank, the transformer on the pole blew when one of those Mylar balloons hit it. My wife couldn't drag it to the back of the house and get it connected and running. Lost a lot- hurt a lot, I was working away from home. I need to get a newer one that is easier for her to start and run and have it set up in the back with cords ready.

I was already running an MP10 so I just bought the battery back up for it by EcoTech. It will run the pump for 72 hours with no power. I think if we loose power longer than 72 hours in Long Beach, my tank will be the last of my problems.

IME keeping the water going is the most important thing. Even with sticks they can take a day of most things, but they need 02.
