So I once had a Nuvo 30L with 25+ BTAs in there. Many different strains...CSB, Sherman, rainbows, roses, green speckled etc. I always had trouble with my CSBs in that tank, but had one that did fine by myself. I always assumed at the time that they could allBe mixed together because they were at BTAs...

I have since learned that I may have been misinformed.

So my question is: Do we know if it’s a chemical warfare in the water column thing? Could this be mitigated by running carbon! Or is the problem when they touch each other? Thinking about doing another nem tank in the future but would have to figure this out before dropping the kind of money nems are fetching these days.

I haven’t opted in for the big money nems yet but the rest of my various bta collection seems to get along. I’m getting ready to install a mini carbon reactor to alleviate any chemical warfare that I might not be aware of.

big money nems = big money problems lol

it's probably a bacterial problem. maybe bacterial post chemical warfare? who knows.

our friend jimmy007 treated an inferno for us with cipro (an antibacterial), and now it's ok back in our system, mixed with flame tip and supernova. good luck lol. we've had issues with csb and mixing in the past.
